Obituaries

Derek Andrew Luther, 15, of Suwanee, GA, died November 23, 2009.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 28^th at Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel Funeral Home in Norcross.  Burial will follow at Peachtree Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends Friday, November 27^th from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  He is survived by his parents, Lance A. & Elena M. Luther of Suwanee, GA; brother, Raef  Luther of Suwanee; sisters, Alison Luther and Breck Luther both of Suwanee; maternal grandparents, Brent and Helen Stambaugh of Las Cruces, NM; paternal grandmother and husband, Nancy and Lynn Bousman of Overland Park, KS; paternal grandfather and wife, James and Karen Luther of Kansas City, KS; aunts, Gina McMurphy, Vikki Newman, and Melanie Bousman; uncles, Jeff McMurphy, Darren Bousman, Chris Luther, and Teddy Newman; cousins, Taylor McMurphy, Logan McMurphy, Alexis Newman and Nick Bousman.  Derek was a sophomore at North Gwinnett High School.  He was in the Theatre at North Gwinnett High School and had just completed a part in the play, “Working”.  He was a former member of The Marching Band.  Derek had a passion for drawing, performing, and playing piano.  He was an amazing artist, and will be deeply missed by everyone.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to: www.enf.org or checks may be mailed to: Eagle's Nest Camp and Foundation, P.O.
