Christine Gwostz, 84, of Doraville, GA. died December 3, 2009. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 6th, at Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel Funeral Home in Norcross. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery in Villa Rica, GA. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 5th, from 4:00-6:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Mrs. Gwostz retired from AARP after 14 years of service. Preceded in death by her husband, Peter M. Gwostz, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn & Leon Hopkins of Doraville, GA; honorary daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy & Bev Smith of Doraville, GA; brothers, Gene & Joyce Matthews of Loganville, GA, and Larry Matthews of Alpharetta, GA; grandchildren, Stacie & Taft Camp, Tracie Hopkins, and Karen & Ed Barnes; great-grandchildren, Nicky Barnes, Jennings Camp, and Mackenzie Camp; and several nieces and nephews.
