Obituaries

Juanita M. Nau, age 78, passed away on Sunday evening December 6, 2009. Formerly of Hartville, Ohio, Nita and her family moved to Atlanta in 1963. Nita was a sergeant in the Air Force during the Korean War, and was appointed a member of the Honor Flight 1061^st USAF Communications Squadron while serving at the USAF headquarters at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. She later attended Case-Western University in Cleveland, Ohio. While raising her family, Nita devoted much of her time to community service, political affairs, and real estate sales as a licensed agent.  She is survived by her husband, Don of 56 years; three children and their spouses, Skip and Kathy Nau of Norcross, Cindy Stotts of Dresden, Ohio, and Shelly and Chuck Knapp of Marietta; seven grandchildren and spouses, Bryan and Kendra Nau, Adam and Ashley Nau, Jason and Megan Stotts, Wesley Stotts, Jeff Stotts, Taylor Knapp, and Chase Knapp; and three great-grandchildren, Andrea Nau, Griffin Nau, and Rylan Nau. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 10^th, from 2:00-3:00 pm at Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel Funeral Home.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.crowellbrothers.com.
