Obituaries

Morris Wayne Smith, 63, Norcross, GA, died December 26^th, 2009.  The funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 29^th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m., at Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel.  Burial will follow at Peachtree Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends Monday, December 28^th, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., at Crowell Brothers Funeral Home.  Mr. Smith was a native and lifetime resident of Norcross and a member of Norcross First Baptist Church.  He served in the U.S. Army during which time he fought in Vietnam where he received the Purple Heart.  Mr. Smith retired from the U.S. Post Office with   thirty years of service. He is survived by his wife Ginny Storey Smith; son and daughter-in-law Paul and Michelle Smith of Hoschton; daughter Kimberly Barnes of Lawrenceville; brothers and sisters-in-law Elmer and Dottie Smith, and Eldon and Maryann Smith both of Duluth; and three grandchildren.  Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society; 1559 Clifton Road, NE; Atlanta, GA 30329.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.crowellbrothers.com.
