Obituaries

Bill McCullough, 84, of Dunwoody, GA, died December 29, 2009.  The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, December 31^st, at North Peachtree Baptist Church in Doraville.  The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.  A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. (CST), Saturday, Jan. 2^nd, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Nashville, TN.  Mr. McCullough was a U.S. Army veteran who served during W.W. II.  He received two Purple Hearts and multiple other medals.  Bill was a very active member of North Peachtree Baptist Church.  He was a member of the Bill Powell Sunday School Class; in charge of the Hospitality committee and the Kitchen committee for many years; and was instrumental in preparing and serving Wednesday evening suppers.  He also worked as a shuttle driver for Bickerstaff Auto Dealership.  Preceded in death by his wife, Christine McCullough, he is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Sharon L. McCullough of Dunwoody, GA, and Vicki & Rev. Rob Mullins of Memphis, TN; two grandchildren, Ryan Mullins and his wife, Anne and Amber Mullins; one great-grandson, Robert Max Mullins; two nieces, Martha Walker of Brentwood, TN and JoAnn Rankin of Franklin, TN; nephew, Doug McCullough of Houston, TX; and several additional nieces and nephews.  In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions to: Crossroads Baptist Church Mission Fund, 1204 Houston Levee Road, Ste 105, Cordova, TN 38018.  The McCullough family would like to express their deepest gratitude and love to the North Peachtree Baptist Church family, the friends at Bickerstaff Auto Dealership, the Chick-Fil-A team and Dr. Taranto and his staff.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.crowellbrothers.com.  Arrangements by Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel Funeral Home, 5051 Peachtree Ind.
