Joe Mayfield, 85, of Duluth, GA, died March 12, 2010. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 14th at Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel Funeral Home in Norcross. Burial will follow at Peachtree Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 14th from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Mayfield was the owner and operator of Joe Mayfield’s Texaco Service Station at the corner of Sylvan Rd. and Dill Ave. for 45 years. He was also a US Army Ranger serving during WWII. Mr. Mayfield is survived by his wife, Betty Mayfield of Duluth; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Jori Mayfield of Duluth; four grandchildren, Joseph, Melanie, Christopher, Cheney Mayfield.
