Obituaries

Mrs. Myra Mae Medlock Daniel of Norcross, GA, was born May 23, 1921 in Seneca, SC.  She passed away from natural causes to eternal life on March 13, 2010 to join her beloved husband of 54 years, Lucius Andy Daniel, who died in June of 1990.  She resided at Meadowbrook Healthcare in Tucker, GA.  She is survived by her two sons, Charles H. Daniel and his wife Margaret of Duluth, GA, and her other son Donald O. Daniel and his wife, Nancy of St. Louis, MO.  She is also survived by her only grandchild, Madalaine Ann Daniel McDaniel of Effingham, IL, her husband Jerry, and great grandchild, Kade McCaskill.   She was a long time member and woman of strong faith at Mount Tabor Baptist Church and later Norcross First Baptist Church.  She taught Sunday school, was a member in the choir, in both churches as well as offering her services in the International Community teaching immigrant women social and financial skills.  Mrs. Daniel loved to quilt, sew and was an excellent embroiderer.  She played the organ and piano for the enjoyment of all her fellow residents at Ivy Hall Assisted Living Center in Alpharetta, GA for fifteen years.  She will be deeply missed.  The family will receive friends Sunday, March 14, from 3 pm to 6 pm at the funeral home.  The funeral service will be held at Crowell Brothers Funeral Home in Norcross, GA, Monday, March 15, 2010 at 11 am.   Interment will be at the Peachtree Memorial Park in Norcross, GA.  In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Peachtree Christian Hospice, 3430 Duluth Park Lane, Duluth, GA 30096 770.232.7727.  Express online condolences at www.crowellbrothers.com.  Crowell Brothers Funeral Home, Norcross, GA (770)448-5757
