Obituaries

Nellie Virginia Kitchens, age 90, of Suwanee, Georgia, died peacefully in her sleep at her home on Saturday, March 13, 2010, in the company of her loving family.  She was born October 20, 1919, in Ravensford, North Carolina, to the late Paralee and Clinton Decker. Mrs. Kitchens is retired from Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company where she was the Manager of the Premium Audit Department.  She is a member of the First United Methodist Church of Suwanee, Georgia.  Nellie was married to Claude Howard Kitchens who passed away on October 2, 1990.  She is survived by her sons, Ron Kitchens, Steve and his wife, Martha Kitchens; her daughter, Claudia, and her husband John Porter, and two grandchildren, Nellie and Stephen Porter.  She was a loving mother to all who knew her.  Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 2:00 pm, at Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel, Norcross.  Interment will follow at Peachtree Memorial Park, Norcross Georgia.  The family will receive friends Monday, March 15, 2010, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.crowellbrothers.com.  Arrangements by Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel Funeral Home, 5051 Peachtree Ind.
